Cooking slowly at low temperatures preserves all nutrients and breaks down long meat proteins into smaller chains, making them easier to digest. This makes it ideal for dogs with sensitive tummies.

The gut microbiome consists of trillions of micro-organisms, these play a vital role in maintaining the overall health of your dog.  Digestive health provides a barrier against pathogens and helps the absorption of nutrients. Age, diet, environment and antibiotics can negatively affect the delicate balance of the microbiome causing stomach upsets, diarrhoea and a general decline in health.

What are Pre-biotics

Prebiotics are nutrients that nourish and promote the growth of good bacteria that are already living in the colon and to aid digestion.

Our food has added pre-biotics MOS & FOS (Mannan-oligosaccharides and Fructo-oligosaccharides).

Allergy or Sensitivity/Intolerance?

A food allergy is an immune system reaction that happens after eating the allergy-causing food and can cause stomach pain, diarrhoea, itching and breathing problems. If you are concerned that your dog has a food allergy then this needs to be investigated by a vet and an exclusion diet followed.

However, a sensitivity to a certain type of food is very different to an allergic reaction and may cause mild diarrhoea and tummy upsets. Some dogs can be intolerant of grains such as wheat and barley in their diet. Artificial preservatives or colourants are also common allergens. If your dog has a sensitivity to a certain food then you need to feed a hypoallergenic diet.

All of our recipes are completely hypoallergenic as they contain no grains or artificial preservatives or colourants.
